HOME INSPECTION INDUSTRY is NOT regulated throughout the Hawaii Islands – aka: There are no licensing requirements!
There is NO licensing supervision and minimal accountability. This means anyone can call themselves a home inspector.
Like any industry, we have good individuals and… less than choice ones. The bad once cause problems and leave an uneasy feeling for everyone. They often disappoint and hurt people when they do a poor quality inspection.
Some inspectors have had no construction or renovation experience prior to entering the industry. While the “essence” of any trade can be learned from scratch, I believe you are far better off with an inspector who has a rich, diverse related background. I have extensive experience, both before and during my career as a professional home inspector.
Signature Inspections Hawaii, LLC, is FULLY Insured & “NATIONALLY CERTIFIED” by InterNACHI. InterNACHI also requires inspectors to continue their education through accredited courses, conferences, online learning, etc… and annual Inspector Certificate Testing in order to hold a current certificate.
